If you have an Artesian Spas hot tub, you may sometimes get error messages or codes on the hot tub top display. Some of them may indicate an error. Others display operational messages to ensure optimal use of the spa.
There are six different areas at the Artesian Spa. You can see different codes. These areas are:
- Platinum-Elite
- Elite Artesian Island Spas
- Spas on Artesian Island
- South Sea Spas

Artesian Spas hot tub error messages
Knowing what these general and error messages mean on your Artesian Spa will help you keep track of any necessary maintenance. Alternatively, if something goes wrong, let the hot tub technician know what is shown and this will help speed up the repair process if parts are needed.
Platinum Elite Spa Error Messages
Artesian Platinum Series has a series ofgeneral news🇧🇷 These are operational messages and appear at the bottom of the screen you normally use. They do not necessarily indicate an error and may not require any action.
You also have alerts related to heat, sensors, miscellaneous, system failures and reminders.
Code | sense | Necessary action |

____F____C | unknown temperature. | None. After 1 minute of pump operation, the temperature will be displayed. |
Code 1 | Possible frost condition | None. In some cases, pumps and heaters can be turned on and off. |
MO29 | the water is very hot | A water temperature of 43.3 or higher was detected. Spa systems down. The system will reset once the temperature drops below 42.4 degrees. Check for prolonged pump operation or high ambient temperature. |
- | The water level is too low. | Fill the hot tub. Stop pumps and heating when indicated. Only displayed in a spa that uses a water level sensor. |
M016 | The water flow is low | None. Insufficient water flow to heater. Heating will resume in 1 minute. |
M017 | The flow of water stopped. | Fix the flow issue. The heater is disabled until this issue is resolved. Then reboot. |
M028 | The heater may be dry. | The spa closes for 15 minutes. Reset message to restart heater. |
M027 | the heater is dry | The spa is closed due to limited water flow. Resolve the flow issue and restart. |
M030 | the water is very hot | The water is above 47.8 degrees. Spa operations have been discontinued. It may indicate a faulty sensor. Contact a technician to replace and reset it. |
M015 | Sensors MAY be out of sync by more than 3 degrees | Call a hot tub technician if that doesn't fix it in minutes. |
M026 | Sensors HAVE NOT been synced for at least 1 hour. | Call a maintenance technician |
- | comunication error | Call service. The control panel does not receive any messages from the system. |
M022 | Program memory error | Call service. This indicates a firmware error. |
M021 | permanent memory error | Contact your dealer if this occurs on more than one start. |
M020 | the clock failed | Contact a spa technician |
M034 | A bomb can get stuck | Turn off the spa. Do not enter the water. Contact a technician |
M035 | hot bug | Get out of the jacuzzi. Do not enter the water. Jacuzzi technician. |
You can also receive regular reminder messages. For example, check the pH value, clean the filter and clean the lid. These do not indicate an error. And it will pop up periodically to remind you whether you already have it or not.

Artesian Island Spas Elite and Island Spas error messages
Artesian Island and Island Elite spas use the same codes as Platinum Elite.

South Sea Spas error messages

LEAVES | Possible freezing conditions | No action is required. All devices are enabled to prevent components from freezing. |
OH | Sensors detected water in the jacuzzi above 47.8 degrees. | Do not enter the water. Remove the lid and let it cool. Restart after cooling down. If the spa temperature does not return to normal, contact a spa technician. |
SST | Sensors detected water over 43.5 degrees. | Do not enter the water. Remove the lid and let it cool. At 41.7 degrees the spa should reset. |
LF | Persistent low flow issues (appears on fifth occurrence in 24 hours) | The heating has been turned off. Fix the flow issue. Press any key to reset |
HFL | The temperature difference between two temperature sensors is too high. May indicate a sensor error | If water level is normal, make sure all pumps are primed. It may be necessary to contact a technician. |
RD | Heater MAY be dry due to possible insufficient flow | Heating is turned off for 15 minutes. Press any key to reset. If the problem persists, contact a technician. |
seco | Heating can be dry. Due to insufficient flow. Show "dr" for the third time | The spa is closed. It will not reset automatically. Press any key to reset. |
SnA | Sensor connected to socket A does not work | The spa was closed. call a technician |
snb | Sensor connected to socket B does not work | The spa was closed. Contact a technician |
SNS | The sensors are unbalanced | If it alternates with temperature, it may be temporary. If it only flashes, the spa has shut down, call a technician. |
